Folding mirrors works with one key, not another

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have two keys.  When I press and hold the lock button on one the mirrors fold in.  When I do the same on the other key they don't, although that key locks and unlocks the car just fine.

Is there some magic incantation of button presses required to activate the feature that is specific to a key?

Thanks,

- P

I THINK the maxidot programming only registers on the key that you use whist making your chosen settings.

It does.

Thought so, as I accidentally 'blipped' to lock with the spare whilst away, and the previously disabled 'bleep bleep' sounded.

So does this apply to all settings that are user customised via the maxidot ?

... and not only to the Maxidot settings. I also recall several things in my Amundsen+ that are different depending on the key used, one thing I certainly remember is the startup volume on the stereo, very low with one of the keys (my main) and not restricted at all with the other (my spare). Made me wake up one early morning though, and all the neighbors as well ... ;-)
