Had to rewire many a vehicle after a burnout due to the use of scotch locks. Granted all heavy plant. But id never use them personally.

Well I've used them and it's all in and working. 

 

That said, I have ordered the tool Gizom posted the link to earlier so will have a think about it in the mean time.
