  • I always use either a mf drying towel or autogl aqua wax with a few microfibre cloths. Chamois leathers I find are a big no no due to the fact that if there's any fine dirt or grit on the car, you'r

Well Chris must have been confused as well as he replied and he hasn't a leaf blower

I have a Flymo leaf blower/vac Alan :moon:

Its far too bulky and heavy to be used as a drying aid and quite frankly you would get some very odd looks..LOL

Imagine drying the car with this:

The tour is comming the wuzzies way on the bottom road 250 yards from work. I am not interested in watching it I prefer to cycle not to watch it. Anyway working skeleton staff on because of road closures. Good job I cyle over the tops anyway , though smashed two spokes on my best set of wheels in the rain last night , they only repair potholes on the route. .and Chris I dont know why you have a leaf blower you have only one tree and thats a monkey puzzle one !

Its the very long beech hedge at mine, next doors and the M in Laws Alan that I need it for...on 'vacuum' setting

BTW watching the T de F right now on Eurosport..Quite a spectacle on OUR roads.......Can't understand why you don't want to watch it....... if you could

Helecoptor flew overhead half an hour ago its on in the louge. More interested in seeing the scenery shame it did not go over 1st tjing I would have been on tv

Funny  enough my leaf blower is smaller than these pet dryers and more portable.

Interesting option Mark - how long does the battery charge last?

Does it really have enough oomph in it to push water out of door shuts etc.

Could actually be usable with a decent flexi-hose attachment and nozzle perhaps?

LOL..Its a p..I..ss take Steve... :giggle:  :giggle:

Surely!!

Hi steve i haven't run the battery down yet because i don't have to use it too long on the car and yes it's well powerful enough for the job all i done was to make up a shorter nozzle and then reduced the size of the opening so it would fit in tight spaces not that you really need to because it blows powerful enough.

BTW it's a lot handier than having to pull something around the car as if you're taken it for a walk thats after you find somewhere to plug it into.......so old school.

Edit ..and it cost me £0 because it was lying around the garage (well not lying around it had been packed away carefully)

Apologies

I didn't think you were serious

Good luck with it

It looks like some form of mechanical bedpan for elderly gentlemen to me LOL.

The problem (as I see it) with leaf blowers are they are pretty much useless at their intended purpose. A bloke down the road has a bigger electrical version and spends ages blowing leaves into neat little piles each Autumn then bagging them up. Next day the wind has delivered him another batch to play with. There's a complete bell end behind the 1st green at my golf club who has a petrol one. I kid you not that he uses it for most of the day- you hear it walking up the first and he's inevitably still going at it when we tee off on 18 4 hours later, so while we think he's a joke I bet his neighbours have other words for him.

Well done says me for finding a use for something that should be in room 101. O.C.D's doesn't do the live snake impression though Chis if you switch it on before grabbing hold of the business end!

I also thought it was a joke, but hey if it works well done!

voila

i guess if the car is well waxed enough it should work fine

That leaf blower video made my arm ache just watching it. I think I might just go the whole hog and buy an air compressor and use a blower attachment.
