please help with my new car choice

Golf R vinyl wrapped bright orange? You'd stand out and be orijinal init. Another vrs doesn't fit your original criteria.

Just get the beemer you originally suggested. Cracking car.

Nissan gtr starts at 32k on autotrader and ticks every box

Finest car I've ever driven hard

As for traffic light Grand Prix - Mustang?

What Mustang! :)

Take into account consumables and parts cost though.

£800 a corner for tyres if u go to nissan.

If the computer breaks its something stupid like £20,000

If the engine goes, i think thats £40k

Its proper supercar running costs.

Id certainly never have a gtr out of warranty. My mate was tempted, but in the end couldnt justify the risk, so saved up abit more and got a 12 plate.

Albeit, if you were going to tune one, you might aswel have a 2009 or similar model year.

Thanks I don't want any super sports car just 30k ish new with good warranty and good running costs if possible. No gtr.porches etc.(dsg, fully loaded as standard as companys charge a bomb for extras(skoda don't) in green or orange (bmw m135i in orange maybe but not the best looking car)my vrs better looking imo thanks

I might wait for the ford mustang 2.3turbo or v8 in orange with black alloys next year with auto box as it's the only car looks wise that I am impressed with thanks. various clips on you tube.

It scares me a little that with £30k to spend on a car, you think a Fabia vRS looks better than a BMW M135i, I know which one I'd rather have.

It's your money you're coughing up so happy spending.

A true pocket rocket with a semi-auto box - 0-60 is only 6.5 seconds though. The brand new, insane 2-seater Abarth Biposto is a bit more expensive, but offers 190 bhp, a 0-60 of under 6 seconds and a wonderful dog ring gearbox that can do clutchless changes with a bit of practice.

Hmm. Abit of a girls car though.

Im sure they perform very well, but IMO, it makes men look slightly puffy.

Didnt realise theyre £32k though. Thought they were about half that.

What do you mean, slightly puffy, I'll have you know I'm an image of manliness when I drive my wife's 500 !!!!!!

You're spot on Otaylor, even in Abarth or Biposto guise, they're a woman's car.

I did not like the Autos in Abarths, but then i do not like using Paddle Shift.

I liked the Autoboxes in the GT86 & BRZ i even used the Paddles on them.

But they are not as fast as a Twincharger.

New BRZ's might be worth a look at if there is a Faster version available.

A Cosworth Package, BRZ / GT86 maybe.

Golf R is a lovely car and a bargain on some of the cheap lease deals that have been around if you can still get one.

I'd go M135i tho all day long. With current deals £25k will see you into new a base spec manual car, which leaves plenty of room to add on some tidy options within your £30k budget.

Far more character and better noise than the R.

Mine arrives in 2 weeks, can't wait! :-)

Haha yeah.

I know a lad that has no shame in driving his girlfriends pink 500 convertible into work some days.

He doesnt seem to care lol.

Hes also one of the strongest people i know though. Hes a right beef cake. Probably why nobody says anything about it lol.

£30k+ for an Abarth is madness IMHO!

I did love the one I had tho. Was a lot of fun indeed. Never felt self- conscious in it at all once the limo-spec window tints were in place lol! ;-)

It's crazy I know, but it would be an absolute riot of fun to drive! A fully loaded Biposto would be closer to 40 k, but it's something quite unique in my opinion. Fantastic power to weight ratio and the soundtrack would be immense. And as for that gearbox... It's something completely different.

I don't view hotted-up 500s as limp-wristed at all (was e.g. the Pug 205 GTi a girl's car?) - just a ton of (quite stylish) fun! Each to their own.

Yeah I'd love to have a go in one of those! Agree the Abarth 500 isn't limp-wristed, it used to get a lot of positive attention from appreciative petrol-heads wherever I went in it. And as for being a girls car.... I can confirm it definitely seemed to have pussy-magnet powers...... Certainly more than a Fabia could ever muster lol! :-)

Pug 205 gti certainly isnt a girls car. Nope. Not one bit.

500 defo is though. It just is.

Ps. Do they chuck those headlight eyelashes in too for £40k?

Probably could be specc'd if an official Fiat part...

Many 500s can look girly, I agree, but Abarths in most colours far less so, IMO. I like compact, quick, good-handling cars that are all about fun, and every Abarth variant ticks those boxes.
