And then you will need bigger brakes, KW3 Suspension, ARB, LSD - its all sounding a bit familiar  :D

Like a race blue fabia I remember that was then sold! I wonder if that ones still about! Probably easier for him to buy it back :giggle:

Yes, probably shouldn't have sold it.

Are you bored of it yet? ;)

Ohh oops I didn't realise it was sold to Dazza66

Yeah clutch and head bolts are needed. Forgot about them. MAF sensor isn't.

Agree with the Diff. Kev's GTB1756 was ace.

You can do it on the cheap though. No need to fancy FMIC and manifolds.

Thanks for all the input.

Just got to work out what kind of money to spend.

I do like the idea of the 2260 as it gives options for future upgrades, but 1756 is clearly easier to do on a budget with maybe an uprated intercooler in the stock position... ?

Not come across Xman before either, so will have a look at it/them/him.

I might need to you talk me through and do the mapping! :D

One thing to remember is the 2260 flows more with the same boost.

Don't know if anyone's done a decent side mount.

2260, 2260, 2260, 2260, 2260, 2260     :p

Manifolds are done by Nortech who use to supply Darkside

you can even mate this to your standard cat-back system mapping off Faboka and a custom FMIC and Helix Clutch kit i'd say all in a £2500

mine drove lovely on standard nozzles smooth and once on boost pulls like a mofo

then if you want more BHP http://www.uniteddiesel.co.uk/shop/performance-injectors/pd-90-diesel-injectors-320-bhp

the prices for the these kits are coming down leeps and bounds now

2260, 2260, 2260, 2260, 2260, 2260    :p

my mate had a manifold and exhaust made for his GT30 Clio sport by nortech and it is proper top quality

Is Nortech JKM? I was going to buy that manifold and down pipe and was told that it's **** quality because it's 304 metal and that the flexi is to small therefore would crack....

Be ****ed off if it's bull****

Yes, probably shouldn't have sold it.

Don't think I could get bored with it  :D

But in terms of selling you can never say never!!! - however not sure what else would be as much fun to be honest

From what I was told Nortech had the exclusive right to make DS tubulars manifold, DS then started making them in house and Nortech then stopped doing them.

Now that Nortech weren't tied in DS someone has come along reselling them and is now getting them made again for them by Nortech

Now I could be wrong and it might all be hearsay but the design looks exactly like a Nortech Tubular that I've seen

The flexi is fine has plenty enough twist in it

The manifold come with 12months warranty so if it cracks send it back

So who supplied dirty torque when they started? That was said to be a previous supplier to darkside.

Well that's a major kick in the balls because I was ready to buy one!!

Meh 1756 is bought now so I'm sticking with that spent far to much on it now anyway.

No idea mate but his last batch of manifolds was all wrong, and the turbos weren't up to much either hence me not running the 2260 kit.

I have to say, I favour Darkside purely because the website is great and has loads of info.  Plus clear pricing and options.

Dirty Torque and Nortech just don't have much relevent stuff on the websites, which means lengthy chats and I'm bound to forget something...

Contemplating the bigger power set up and got this far...

2260 turbo kit with manifold - £1,900

Injectors - £675

Intercooler and brackets - £235

Intercooler hard pipes - £260

Head bolts - £30

SMF clutch kit - £750

Posting - £30

VAT - £776

Total - £4,656  plus fitting and mapping

Whacking a 1756 onto a stock manifold is looking quite tempting.

Speak to xman about a 2260 on a stock manifold. Be about £1100 cheaper that £1900.

Stock manifolds are good enough.

Leave the injectors for now. You can always add later. That's another £675 saved. :)

Your forgetting about the diff ;)

That total actually worries me as to how much I've spent!

Be interesting to see the smoke levels on silkys once Fabooka has mapped it :)

Little bit of smoke doesn't bother me (not as much as now!!!) so long as it's got the poke to go with it. At the moment mine is horrendous and isn't really that quick....yet.

I dont like this thread

I can see gtb coming along shortly after yours dan. wanna see what its like haha
