Fabia owns a R32 you say? oO

Here is the evidence...

+1 for Skoda :)

The R32 is a truly dreadful car, the only people who like them are poseurs who can't drive properly.

Seen a mk4 R32 run a 16 quarter mile at GTI on the weekend. Only thing going for them is they look and sound nice! Dreadfully slow!

Was also disappointed by a mk2 Octy VRS that was in high 16s.

Watched that earlier, the front end lift is awsome!

yes a granny shopping bottom of the range fabia is the way to go . A tunning company aren't going to show another car beating it . Most modded cars will beat a non modded one . Probably had an lsd as well on it. The R32 driver looked to be caught napping as well

Nope, a motorcycle is the way to go, did I touch you in a bad spot?

Nevermind that, did you see how fat the woman at 0.27 secs was !!!!

Had 9 motorbikes in the past and I own a 335 bhp R36 not a R32 but unless you have owned one . The R36 as standard did 4.9 at gti ( matescar ) look up on you tube whpping an evo and mine Iis faster than that. Its just if you had an s3 and you slagged them off but even my 80 year old ffather in laws Fabia has more power than yours .

Dude, how old are you, seriously?

I'm an automotive engineer and I've worked on and driven some really properly fast cars, the R32 is a TERRIBLE handling car with a ship anchor under the bonnet, I hated it and I'd hate your car as well but I don't hate you because I've never met you on here before, but this is a Fabia forum for Fabia owners and I got one and I contribute to keeping them on the road cheaply because I like my Fabia (mostly) because I need to shop and pick my kids up and stay dry and stuff and it's really good at that.

It isn't all about modding and performance or a car as an extension of a fragile ego and a crutch for a massive inferiority complex ok.

Hey are proper fast but stripped out race cars and loved the commentators comments , saying hard to believe its a diesel , what with all that smoke !

Sorry mate, I overstepped the mark, I have mates with these ( and they are not posers)   and they don't handle the best but in my opinion are great cars, my R36 has a completely different engine 10 degrees as opposed to 15 and a  fsi block  and yes not the best handling, but it has all the toys, the best seats I have ever sat in .

One thing the Darkside boys do very well is putting a lot of power through the 1.9 TDI, adding drag radials and then posting quarter mile times to shame most GT-R drivers.

Not really much of a contest though is it!

That Fabia is running circa 400hp, some supercars wouldnt do the 1/4 mile in 11.75

I need some drag radials.  I think that red fabia hasn't reached 400bhp yet, but it doesn;'t need to - 350bhp and drag radials and high 11s is fair game

You do. :)

Worth a second maybe?

Did they launch the arosa in second gear?

Indeed, first thing I checked when they started haha

I reckon possibly.  The smallest drag radials are 225/45 R17 which I "think" I could get away with using for drag racing only.  They are still about £250 a corner though :(

Is this somebody off here in the related vids? Slightly surprising start, but the Fab just totally runs out of oomph at top end haha

What kind of figures do you need to be running to benefit from launching in second gear rather than first? First gear on a diesel down the strip is pretty useless to be fair lol

:D

In the Arosa video when the commentator says "its difficult to believe its a diesel".. :D :D

The MASSIVE clouds of smoke make it hard to mistake it for a petrol..

Rapid though!!

isn't she one of those Dragon Tuner Babes lol

Not 100% but I think that's SimonK24's old car.

You can probably launch in second in a stage 1 map. Have a play to see if it works out better. It saves a gear change after all
