How much?

It's on Copart, finishing on the 15th.

I thought you'd have guessed that from the black tape on the reg plate. :)

  • I think it's been mentioned before but you could buy a 'regular' vrs, get a retrim and spray it for the price of an SE

  • With the money i could spend buying one i could drop a 1.8T in my wifes fabia and create a huge thread and get nowhere ... o wait

Onphone so all I can see is a blue Fabia vaguely

I forgot to check whether the RS2s on the Ibiza were the wrong way round. The passenger one, assuming the wheel hadn't been moved, was.

Meaning water spray directed differently with chance of aqua planing:)

That's still quite a lot for a colour.

I paid £4,800 for mine 4 years ago, with 80k on the clock

The way I think is say I bought a car for 4k absolute minter of a vrs then got a proper respray door sills engine bay the lot you're looking at another 2500/3k I rather just buy one in the stunning blue perks are it has the leather seats :-) I bought it purely for the colour not fussed that its a SE :-) its a good overall car I'm happy with what I paid :-) although of I saw a minter of a red one I'd have that

I get why people like the SE and I'm no SE basher, end of the day they are great Fabia vRS, who is bashing that.

Its just the common sense aspect that gets me, as mentioned with a link to cheaper Octy (bigger car and just as good) for less cash and same colour ?

You'd be bonkers IMO to still buy the SE, its that elitist idea you are getting something thats better but I don't get it myself,

But thats personal choice isn't it, I also completely respect those who choose to buy it also.

Just don't try to argue to me some sense as to how its worth that !

I'm well happy with mine, which end of the day isn't an SE but its an unusual colour, not so many sprint yellows, plus Recaros in yellow

Hence cars like ours that are nicely made to be what we want, its really not that far removed from an SE really is it ? Mine was a late 06, so BLT so only fractionally older than the SE's Just mine isn't "limited" to command the silly money ?

So I can also see the common sense discussion from Bossfox on the prices just injecting a bit of sense here.

With the age I'm sure we are talking what, sub £3k nowadays ? No chance in hell anyone would get £5K for the same car with SE badge, seat number on it for another £2K from me.

But not to be taken away from them, yes they are a good car offering good standard buying features on a vRS and a nice colour if you like Blue.

That copart SE has a brisky sticker in the back window....anyone on here gona admit to running out of talent whilst driving it!!

I just bloody well put a full set of RS3s on my PD 100 and a bit. :(

rarer than Race Blue if I'm not mistaken :)

True. The SE was more of a run out model.

Good way of selling surplus models though

Mk1 Fabia VRS prices are daft these days. I sold mine about 5 months ago or so now for £2750. Now I look on Auto Trader and people are asking around £4000 for them again.

Dealers are a lot to blame for the inflated prices - if they get £7k for one then people will try and sell them privately for similar.

I bought mine in feb this year from a Skoda main dealer for £6-7k, 50k miles, one owner, warranty, tax for a year, two services and mot done.

Happy as Larry.

I could have bought an Octavia but didn't want one - now you see the reason. Want one, buy one.
