Upgraded Phone, loss of functionality

Featured Replies

I upgraded my Phone from a Galaxy S2 to a Sony Z2 on Saturday and now I no longer have the ability to read or send texts and the WiFi function is also no longer available. The phone still connects in Premium mode but it doesn't "disable" the phone so I'm guessing it's not in full rSAP mode any more?, I can still use the Z2 for Texting and Internet where as with the S2 once connected to the car I had to use the Headunit or MFD for reading\writing Texts and had to enable the WiFi function the allow the S2 the use the Internet.

I'm wondering if there may be a Firmware update available?

Anyone else using the Sony Z2?

Anyone know of an up to date compatibility list http://new.skoda-auto.com/en/download/devices way out of date (2012)

Regards

Craig

The newer modules auto switch to hfp mode when the phone isnt compatible with rsap mode. So what you are seeing is totally normal behaviour as hfp mode leaves the phone fully enabled and the reduced bt functionality you are experiencing.

Its possible the phone can be made to work in rsap mode but that may need an app and/or rooting. I'm no expert on that though sorry.
