Connecting iphone 5 wihtout BT and MDI

Featured Replies

Hello!

I'm going through a couple of threads and I can't really figure it out :/

We bought a new octavia elegance (bolero radio), but we don't have BT or MDI connector (I think, connector should be on the opposing side from usb?).

Can this be done? If yes, what is the easiest/cheapest way to connect iPhone to bolero?

Not possible without MDI but surely you have Bluetooth? It comes as standard

I don't think so. I've turned BT on on my phone and when i click on BT on bolero - no telephone available, or something..

Make sure you are in the 'Bluetooth screen' on your iPhone when the Bolero is searching. This makes the iPhone discoverable

BT is standard on all octavia's in the UK.

Just checked. Nop, I definetly don't have bluetooth. What are my options?

If you don't have Bluetooth, then you won't have the searching for phone screen on the stereo.

Have you checked in the DIS rather than the stereo. Took me ages (and reading the manual) to realise you can only pair a phone via the dashboard DIS and not via the touch screen on my loan Yeti...

No idea what DIS is but on the O3 you pair the phone on the infotainment.

Driver Information System - aka the maxi dot screen on the dashboard.
