L&K Skoda Part 1 The Upward Path & Part II Flight of the Winged Arrow

Featured Replies

Just taken delivery of a pair of these, not the original 1995 editions, these cover up to 2003, only has a quick look so far, but they look to be an excellent history of Skoda, I never realised they did so many vehicles....even commercials!

Not cheap, but considering these were printed on 2004 they look brand new, now looking forward to reading about the history of Skoda and Laurin & Klement...

Should be interesting reading. Just noticed a very brief history of Skoda on their Skoda UK website  http://www.skoda.co.uk/skoda-history

There must be about 600 pages in the 2 volumes, in a way I suppose the 1st editions which covered up to 1995 may be worth more money in the future, in fact I did find a set for £95.00 but decided to pay £100 for the later books... not cheap, but as I did not buy them to sell and make money that was not too important, plus I can read an extra 10 years history ..Lol

In fact I feel a bit better paying that money when I found out what it was for, the books were sold by a Hospice shop with the profits going to the Hospice, so a good cause..

Did you know there was a Skoda Tudor..... never built... sad eh!

I think it would have sold if they produced it...

You should have waited until your first service.

DM Keith in York have the full set in their waiting room, or at least they used to!

Can't say I have seen them, but then again I was not really looking..

I do like to have them in my collection of books...

Given their quality and value they are probably long gone!

Having spent way too long in DM Keiths waiting room over the years I can confirm that they are a great read!

Only had a quick flick through so far, but they do seem very interesting...

It did actually get built, it's called an A5 Audi nicked the idea off Skoda.

Nice post Stu, I expect this will be your specialist subject on mastermind :0)
