This weekends adventure has been fitting Coilovers. it took all day and a lot of hard work... i.e. getting the old struts out, but we got there in the end.

well worth doing, the back is sitting well; but the front needs to go a bit lower. i don't have the C spanners to lower the front as i didn't buy these new, so i can adjust the front just yet.

but I'm happy with it, it handles better and sits a lot nicer. the ride is a lot more firm but thats just they price you have to pay really.

Looks good, did you do this on your drive on a trolley jack?

Looks good lowered. Might be worth considering some spacers as the rear wheels now look a little too 'tucked in' under the arches tho :-)

yeah i know what you mean mate, i think i will get them at some point

Car looks well Jay, nice and shiny

Before you lower the front more, I'd suggest try raising the rear a shade and adding spacers.

Slammed Fabia with tucked wheels looks weird.

Low(er) ride height and filled arches will look way beefier, and oddly more squat because of the wide stance than just slamming it.

What make are the CO's?

thanks mate! And i will higher the rear i just need to get som C spanners to be able to do it. I will deffinetly get some spacers and bring the back out a bit further.

And they are FK coilovers mate

Your insurers must be rubbing their hands together   :)

DPM Performance have good prices on FK hubcentric spacers and they include extended bolts.

I ran 15mm front and 17mm rear and they were pretty much flush on my Fabia, think they would sit really nice on yours. The car looks so much wider when you do this.

Keep plugging on with the car, I think it will be something quite special when/if you get done modding it.

-remap (revo stage one)

-forge induction + the forge valve

spacers

then going to upgrade the sound system, maybe do a little boot build or something.

+1 to above, probably a little more practical too on our *smooth* roads.

I was going to put spacers on as sparkly said in previous post but can't afford to lower just now so holding off, waiting for a price on springs from Skoda that will keep the warranty. Will your CO's void the warranty?

The car is going to look very tidy when you are done. Great work Jay, enjoying following your project, keep the updates coming.

ive just lowerd it further, i think its sitting at about 70mm drop now. And ive had no rubbing or anything so you should be fine. You can always adjust them anyway mate! Your 17's should be fine

And cheers, its finally getting to where i want it to be. Ive got a few more plans i just need the money lol.

Only problem with dropping a monte is that the black trim makes it look like space between the arch and the tyre so it looks like it's higher than it is! Hopefully the spiders will look decent on it too! Space it maybe 15 or 20mm

That's sitting nice and low now!
