Hello,

I'm from Sheffield, bought my 2003 Octavia 1.9 TDI Estate last year and love it. Had cambelt changed, full oil service and brakes serviced. It sailed through it's last MOT, what a fantastic car. However coming back from Wales last week it suddenly redlined and the engine went 'Run Away'.  :'( This has not put me off in any way as I now condsider myself to be a Skoda enthusiast.  So here I am, I'm going to try to repair my Skoda, I'll be looking for advice ( this is how I came across briskoda.net) I look forward to being part of this community.

 

Hello Pierre and welcome so Brisky, sounds like you really had some bad luck with your car? I actually had that engine in a L&K Octy and all though it had Impressive power & economy, it was the most unreliable car I've ever owned! Just luck of the draw I guess?

Hi thanks for the welcome, yes it was a bit of bad luck but it's been a great car - I've just started to strip it down  :|
