head skimmed now biiigg problems :(

Don't forget to keep us up to date with what's happening!

Ok, everything seems sensible, but I'll add a note anyway that if the timing belt jumps it could jump on the HP injection pump which controls the fuel timing without also jumping on the camshaft which controls the valve timing, and vice versa.

Also, I've seen someone claim he can set up fuel and valve timing on a 1.9TDi by counting the belt teeth from the HP pump to the cam drive. With a skimmed (and hence shorter) head, this "method" definitely won't work because the number of teeth involved is different (and also the cam sprocket may have been rotated whilst the engine was dissembled and reassembled.

So if your second garage finds any of this stuff, ask them to create an "engineer's report" of the misassembly, and pursue the skimmer for costs.

Errr, Ken it's a PD engine it doesn't have a cambelt driven fuel pump.
