Have you got a phone button on your mfsw? Thats the only button that is enabled by this and its rare to see on a pre FL? Even then its not perfect even with a polar box so doesn't justify it on its own in my opinion.

That's only true for 3c8 right?

Yes only premium modules need maxidot for pairing. HFP only units such as 5k0 pair from the phone end and are controlled by the head unit on pre FLs.

I've got a phone pickup/ put down and what i assume is a voice control trigger button too... retrofit

Sounds like a fl steering wheel retrofit to a pre fl? The older pre fl has two phone buttons for pick up and put down, but these now both work in the same way as a combined pick up/put down button with the polar unit on mine and the voice control button works ok too. Hopefully you should be ok with your wheel then.

Gents, wont there be issues with address book?. I had to forgo the OEM stuff and get fiscon due to there being no solution to the address book corruption, I also wanted A2DP.

 

In the end I fitted a fiscon plus which was bit pricey (close to 300 notes) but I get full intigration, A2DP. They claim the unit does AVRCP too but in reality the fiscon kit does NOT support this, shame really as that would have been the icing on the cake.
