New Rapid

Featured Replies

So I pick up my brand new rapid sport in rallye green on the 3rd of September, and I can't wait!

I bought pretty much every optional extra on it so apparently it's going to take a while to go over them.

Who would like to see some pictures when I get it back home?

Thanks for the offer! I'm in buckinghamshire but I managed to think of a way to get there myself.

Plan to pick it up on the 1st only if the dealer gets the plate, they're having problems with the DVLA at the moment.

Here's the pictures: http://imgur.com/a/YdkNu

Picked it up earlier. Yes some are blurry and most are poor quality but they were took by my iPhone is a rush!

There was one that I snapped at 70 but it was a quick picture as you can see from the blurriness.

very nice, I have to say the Rapid really suits the green. Saw a spaceback in green last week and it looked great

Lovely looking car mcdl ,hope you enjoy it !

Very very nice that looks sweet enjoy it

I will enjoy it! Hopefully I'll get some better pictures of it soon.

I must say that despite some other materials around the cabin, the steering wheel feels excellent and looks just the same! In my opinion, worth the upgrade! The stock options don't do the car justice, I added most of the options and it's definitely a nice place to be; sitting in the drivers seat.

Looks great enjoy :)

So I had some bad luck and not even after 24 hours of owning the car I had an accident.

Lancaster Skoda in Milton Keynes were a great help and my car will soon be back to it's pristine condition!

Oh sorry to hear this. I hope all goes well :)

Doh :(

That's rotten luck! Hope everything's as it was pre-accident!

It is indeed. Luckily only the front bumper is damaged by the looks of it, a few small scrapes so a decent paint job will fix it right up!

Must be the green paint; mine got peppered with numerous stones kicked up by other road users and a combine harvester working a field (bizarre but true) first week commuting in the car. This left me with around eight decent size stone chips to touch in, one of which had dented the metal :S

Anyway I hope you get it sorted,

Green also attracts so many bugs, I love the colour but it'll require a lot of maintenance. Luckily I've not come across any combine harvesters.

Sorry to hear about yours. Maybe get something like smart insurance which covers small scratches and I believe chips.

Shame about the accident. I have a couple of questions... Do you have four parking sensors and buttons on both sides of the steering wheel? I've only 3 sensors and only the left hand side has buttons - I guess that's the problem with buying early models.

I have buttons on both sides. But I have the three spoke flat bottomed steering wheel as an optional extra.

I have 4 sensors because the sensors were retrofitted by my skoda dealer rather than the manufacturing stage. I actually asked them because I saw they only came with 3.

The rear parking sensors in Rapid (both body versions) are 3 when fitted by factory. Whenever you see 4, they are retrofitted by dealer.
