Does the columbus rns 510 have bluetooth built in or do i have to install a new bluetooth module?

No it doesn't and yes you will have to.

The new models do have it inside as well as DAB.

Older models then no.

Its a 2009 model so does it have bluetooth built in?

Not on a 2009 model no, you would need the BT module and wiring loom and microphone.

Do you have any links to these Columbus models with BT built in as I can't find any and could be interested in one if my next car doesn't already have BT in.

Even the RNS 510 doesn't seem to have it!

There are some versions of the Amundsen+ that do have BT built in.

I think the one the dealer tried to sell me was a D or E revision.

Had LED screen, DAB and bluetooth. Was around £900 new from VW.
