Heated screen replacement

Featured Replies

I think my VRS heated screen will need replacing due to stone damage.

Is there any issues with the changing of these screens or can the monkeys at Autoglass be trusted?

There are some comments on here about the lane assist system. It may need calibration apparently if disturbed.Mentions that most Skoda dealers can't do it. But VW/ Audi can. SK UK will tell you.

I had mine done by AA Glass fitter at my house a couple of weeks ago.  Besides a slightly longer wait (i.e. a week rather than next day) because of some difficulties sourcing the screen it all went very well.  I haven't noticed any difficulties with Lane Assist, heated screen or rain sensor - or even with the little plastic ticket holder.

When booking it over the phone there was a slight but good natured 'Computer says no' moment because there wasn't a code on the drop down menu for heated screen on my car even though it was a factory fitted option (as it is for most Octavias that have it).  But she just put a special note on the order and all was well.
