New detailers stool

Featured Replies

I spoke to ste a while back about me having problems / pains when bending doing low parts of the car.

He pulled out a stool and said this would be ideal for you.

I forgot to mention to you last time we spoke ste that I actually bought one. It's perfect for me it's fully hight adjustable is very comfy and has a little sectioned tray at the bottom for putting your detailing equipment in.

Not to mention it's on wheels.

So for anyone who hates the back ache of doing lower parts of the cat this is a great little buy.

I got mine from elite car care, I think it was around the £35 mark.

Makes life so much easier for me, so thanks for the recommendation ste.

  • Very glad thread refers to stool (as in chair) not the other kind.   Would have been a very odd thread.

I was waiting for this one.

I did notice it, but i always seem to be editing lol.

I am glad this wasn't what I feared after first reading the title...

Just seen a very similar looking item in the machine mart catalogue for £24

Yup there are some really low quality ones knocking around. Some as cheap as £17 on ebay.

Could be the angles but the base looks bigger on the clarke one. Not sure how different you can actually go regarding a DIY stool design hence the similarity maybe.

Anyway that logo has to be worth another £20, looks really flash. Racing stool :)

It does look very similar. I'm happy with my purchase anyway.

That stool only has a single arm for the hydrolics mine has a full circular ring around it so no faffing looking for a handle once you changed position.

Still a good find though.

"Acquired" one of these kick stools from work great job for sitting on or polishing the roof, it has wheels but when you stand on it the wheels retract so the stool is steady for standing on.

I did contemplate one of these big elephants foot stools. I remember them from school.

Elephants foot LOL never heard it called that before  :D  They are great for sitting or standing on, very steady . Was looking at the stools before but didn't think they would be great for standing on but i could be wrong.!

Actually a milk crate is a very good "piece of kit" when it come to polishing a car. Cheaper too.

Should consider not doing that when naked then Andy.  It helps no end.

Also is that all they give you on the trains , seems a bit cheapskate

Northern Rail upgrade?
