Boot Net @

Featured Replies

I am quite into tech and writing about tech, so I play a fun game I call the 'AliExpress lottery' where a couple of times a month I order a random interesting bit of cheap tech from AliExpress, the huge Chinese wholesale site and see what it's like. Sometimes the stuff is good, often it's crappy. :D

I've fancied the boot net for my vRS, but I can't really justify the cost for the amount of use it'd get, so when I came across this item at just over a fiver including delivery, I thought i'd give it a go. Pics below! :)

Can't complain for the price really, no doubt not as nice as the real deal but it'll do the job fine! :)

Next up in the 'lottery', a pair of vRS badges for the wings at ~£7. :D

Like it , certainly worth a fiver, might get one myself.

I got a set as a freebie when I bought the car,but if I hadn't this would have been ideal. The large net is very useful so for a fiver why wouldn't you get one.

Just ordered one.

Nice spot.

Someone sold me theirs

Is that an eBay ripoff site?

Ahhhh, but you got an original one and that was only because it was too 'loose' for the Tiguan.

Hopefully this one will be a better fit for me?

Is that an eBay ripoff site?

Not really........

Alibaba is often described as China’s eBay. But it is much more than that. For a start it handles more packages annually than eBay and Amazon combined.

See here.

Paul, How long did they take to arrive?

Thanks - worth a punt for a fiver...

Mister MoDaCo!  A big help a year or so back with rooting the Orange San Francisco. And brave enough to post a selfie with Google glass.

I ordered a boot net from them on the evening of the 9th; the website made some suggestion that shipping could take up to 26 days or something. Despatch was confirmed on the 11th and I got home tonight to see it had arrived today. I've only had a quick look at it, but it seems pretty reasonable and far from the worst fiver or so I've ever spent.

I've ordered one too, just waiting for the confirmation of the order...

Although 5.50GBP is well under the normal customs threshold for switzerland I'm wondering how they will take to Chinese imports...

Also interesting that just after this post the Alibaba group hits the news for its NYSE float.

Mine came the day after jjj66 got his and fits the Tiguan better than the ex Octavia one ever would.

Ordered a net on 11th, arrived today, 29th. As paulobriensays, probably not as good as Skoda's but far better value for what you get.

Paul, keep spotting those bargains.

Mine also arrived this morning without any Swiss customs problems.

+1 for FlyingGeckos comments.

Thanks for the tip Paul :)

I can't seem to find it on there. Is there a product code?
