Yeah lol I wasn't going that pro about it ! Just a better version of "basic"

If I was spraying I'd do in on a nice warm still, not too humid day to be honest - and let the sun do the cooking for me !

a good constant filtered air feed and a good spray gun and you are fairly well sorted if being better than basic

When i got mine resprayed it cost me £1300 (cash..mates rates).. they had it a couple of months but this is what was included:

Full respray bar roof (colour change)

Inside doors/ boot/ fuel flap/ under bonnet/ door handles etc

front bumper smoothing

side skirts smoothing + making fit

tailgate holes welding/ smoothing

side repeater holes welding/ smoothing

spoiler removing/ painting.. then refitting

front arches rolling

Rear arches rolling/ pulling

rear completely custom bumper created from my standard estate bumper + a vrs hatch rear bumper

The paint quality was show worthy but not as good as a £3k paint job.. anyone who saw mine in the flesh can vouch that paint looked as good as a well waxed factory paint job

I got a bargain then mine cost £400 mates rate skoda meteor grey [emoji3]

Shouldn't be too expensive as primer with lacquer;)

There was over a weeks worth of labour smoothing the front bumper.. creating the rear bumper + smoothing the sideskirts.. then all the other smoothing + rolling/ pulling the arches + smoothing them in.. doors/ bumpers/ handles/ door cards/ spoiler/ door seals + trims removing + fitting..

So it was alot more than just a respray or a colour change

For something decent you could be looking at around £1,500 - £2k !

thats allot considering i payed £640 for the car haha

 

More than the cars worth!! If you just do what you can see (not inside the doors or boot or under the bonnet etc) probably about a grand. Maybe look into having it wrapped??

yeah your right there haha, i could do the wrapping myself as i seem quite good at that

 

or buy an SE

i would happily buy an SE, but for the cost of the insurance and the car itself that will all have to wait a few years

You could probably get an outside only for £1k.  But with door shuts, engine bay, etc etc, the price mounts.  Mainly due to it being often easier to remove panels/doors to spray

i have tried getting quotes from companies they all say we will get back to you and haven't :/

 

Depends on if you prepare it too!

I've done two for mates in the past year! Which have cost them about £500 because of the materials I used etc

i could do the preparing myself, i have worked in VW in the body shop so i can get access to the stuff they use if i needed to 

 

just remember... u get what u pay for.

 

if u want a proppa job,  ull be looking at  a full strip down and not much change from 3.5 - 4k

about 4 times what i payed for the car haha

Was nice lol..theres only bare shell n doors left now i broke it.. you are buying the black roof bits :D!

If yours is just a cheap run around then plasti-dip it yourself .. can be done for around £250.. n u can peel it off after if you dont like it

Wouldn't be worth it getting it down to Kent tbh n i wouldn't advise stripping yours down to the point mines at coz ull loose interest pretty quickly
