Glow plug flashing

Featured Replies

Keep getting glow plug light flashing, just comes on when driving, car drives perfectly flashes for about 10 mins then goes off. Also goes off if engine stopped and started.

Its intermittent done it twice in 2 days, but not done it for 2 months, dealer has checked and doesn't seem to know what it is.

It will have logged a fault code, anyone near you with VCDS?

dealer took car in yesterday for a deeper check and found faulty exhaust sensor, got to wait until Tuesday for it to be fixed. Until then I have a rapid 1.2 tsi S, well all I can say is what a bloody dreadful car it must be the worst thing I have driven in years. Any one thinking of getting one instead of an Octavia don't. if you want a cheap car get a dacia sandero it's no worse and much cheaper than the rapid or by a 2 year old Octavia 2.

I think I described the Rapid as the ****** child of an Octy II and a Fabia - i.e. take a perfectly good Octy II and then ruin it with lots of fabia bits.

I'll run for the hills now before the Fabia brigade catch up with me ........ :)
