Fabia vRS - To buy or not to Buy?

Featured Replies

They hold there value just fine.

at 3 years old you got more than half what you paid for them.  Many quite a bit more than half

Which is better than many get with a 3 year old VW, or other cars.

4 years old and £7,000 for a car someone bought for £16,000 is good. Estate.

or a Hatch that was £15,000.

That is less depreciation than on many cars.

For Twinchargers, feel for someone that paid £20,000 plus, on a Polo GTI , maybe £22,000 & at 3 years old could not get £12,000 for it,

or a Seat Ibiza Cupra and not only can not get a good price selling, they can not find a buyer.

You can get a bargain in them.

Or look for a Seat Ibiza FR 1.4 TSI 150ps,  they are good IMO.

??

Can you not get cars from Trade Auctions,

the World is your Oyster.

If you want a Twincharger someone in the Trade will find one over 3 years old at 'Much Cheapness'.

You just need to be able to check the History and be sure you can Buy an Extended Warranty.

I've probably spent as much mucking about with vehicles over the last year as a used VRS would cost :(

Yeah it will be a consideration when I've got a bit more money :)

a few post behind now. Clio Sport, or whatever it's called. Not bad but not an everyday car. The vRS is pretty infectious I hope to do a deal by the end of the week.

Tommy.

Are you thinking of the same Clio.   Clio Renualtsport 200 Turbo EDC 197 bhp

1.6 Turbo only with Automatic no manuals, and 5 door only.

It is a everyday car, and were or are around £19,000 - £21,000 but can be had for a bargain.

This is the one my son's friend bought, ex demo from Parks Renault in Motherwell. He got a great deal on it but the snag came with the insurance. The only decent quote he got (and eventually took) was conditional on a black box being fitted by the insurer. So the car, which looks resplendent in black, looks resplendent in black sitting on his drive most of the time unfortunately.

I agree though with the main thrust of your post, very useable for an everyday car. I had a good look around and inside the car, plenty of room and seems well enough made, quite plush actually. Decent boot as well, good tyres fitted as stock.

Did he try the Insurance Brokers that are Sponsors and Trusted Traders on Briskoda?

They can often get young drivers very good deals.

No he didn't George, he's not a member here so wouldn't know. I'm assuming he might have tried to join a Renault owners forum or similar?
