Electric mirror problem on vRS or am I being daft.

Featured Replies

Hi guys, can you clear something up for me before I arrange a warranty visit for my vRS.

With the mirror control switch set to "R" I have control over both mirrors at once, surely this can't be right?

With the control switch set to "L" I have control over the passenger mirror only, and with the switch set to "0" I have control over neither.

I'm guessing this is a fault and I need to get it looked at?! Anybody heard of this before?

Thanks in advance for help and advice.

Sounds like it's working perfectly, don't worry about it.

There is an option to select "synchronous" adjustment of the mirrors in infotainment.

I cannot adjust the drivers side mirror individually (sorry If I haven't explained this very well) but I don't think its working as it should be?

@ Miz, I wondered if there might be, where is this option? Through maxi dot?

I've got Amundsen

The synchronous setting of both mirrors can be activated or deactivated in the Infotainment
» Operating instructions for Infotainment, chapter Vehicle settings
(CAR button).

So not sure if this is relevant to you.

I believe it's the default mode. If you have trouble switching it off, you just have to set it to R, adjust the driver's mirror to taste, then set to L and adjust the passenger mirror. (Then set to 0 or demist to avoid accidentally adjusting them again!)

Totally normal, don't worry about it. Setting is in infotanement system.

Thanks guys, found the relevant setting in infotainment now and switched it off. Probably another example of why I really should get round to reading the manual
