I'm getting the same mpg from a CR150 DSG O3 as I did from my manual PD140 O2.

So, slightly better as you would expect at least a 5mpg reduction for DSG.

i had the mk 2 octavia estate which was good on diesel would like to now is the new octavia estate is as good on diesel as the old one

Which engine did you have previously and which engine are you looking at?

 

My vRS TDi DSG isn't as good as the quoted figures but it's about the same as my old car (09 plate Passat 2.0 TDi 140 manual) and has been getting better MPGs over the 11k i've already done in it.

Nope no pain, but I must be a real man.
