fabia vrs induction kits

Featured Replies

hi guys just wondering

what are the best

i.e loudest and most efficient induction filters for the 1.4 engines?

and what are the best BOV'S you can get

Itg maxogen

2nd vote for the ITG.

By far the best off the shelf kit for the 1.4TSI

Everybody says itg and I do want one BUT I watched one of my mates seat bocanegra on the shark rollers. Same engine with a milltek cat back and itg maxogen on and it only made 182 bhp. Which I thought was a bit disappointing

Yeah itg for the win.

Wheels or flywheel? If it's wheels, thats not to be sniffed at and equates to a fair chunk more at the fly. Bearing in mind manufacturer figures are normally quoted as the flywheel number....

It's always done at the flywheel... I could have got a copy of his map with mine on top but said no at the time wish I had now

Cat back will add zero bhp just noise.

ITG will only give significant gains with a remap.

My car with ITG only ran 184bhp (still +7bhp over the 180PS stock) with std map.

But it let it run a 213bhp dyno with Stage 1.

Breathing mods without a map are likely to give little gains, on some cars a CAI and zorst will make performance worse until you map to take advantage.

Going from what Sparkly has said,

It's not just about overall BHP.

Fitting an ITG also improves throttle and engine response I found.

When you have a car that has two blowers, anything that improves how it breathes can only be a good thing. The ITG does this best IMO.

Not cheap, but well worth it whether you plan to map it or not.
