Can i go back a few posts

re Bull Semen.

I know a bit about Bulls and Bull semen and also BS

The people i know that collect and trade in Bull Semen do not then put it from many bulls all in together,

so why 2 Large Tanks of Bull Semen?

Or is it just being collected for reasons other than inseminating cows?

You also must know nothing about bull semen. The large flasks, two of which fill an astra boot are double skinned and within them contains liquid nitrogen. With ladle like goblets suspended within. Within each goblet can be held "straws" containing 0.25 or 0.5 ml of cryogenically frozen semen. Each straw has the bulls name and unique code printed on it for Identification. Some too are colour coded.

The straws are then thawed to body temp, put in a catheter, inserted into the cows vagina and threaded through the neck of the cervix and just into the uterous before being squirted in.

Of course the cow must be in season for conception to take place.

So you obviously know a lot less about bull semen than you thought you did.

If you had read further on into the thread there was a reference to the SMMB and Genus so if you did know about bull semen this would have given the game away.

Bullsheet all yours methinks.

LOL,   It is not my specialist subject. i just said i know a bit about it, not so much into sperm as you though.

No i understand that, the size of the containers /receptacles,  i just thought i was reading 2 Tanks of Semen.

As i said i know people that are involved in the trade.  Aberdeen Angus Sperm to South America.

I even used to attend the Bull Sales in Perth.

I frequent rural locations myself quite a bit, collecting pre production frozen chips.

I try to stay away from Animals though when there.

There is an order in place.

I read the same tbh was thinking must've spent a long time with two Bulls!

I was wondering how they obtained the bull semen and if this involved some poor sod giving the bull a hand-job or something. Turns out however they lure him in with the promise of a tied up cow then when he's about to blow his load jam a collection device on the end of his manhood to collect the sample.

This beast seems abit of a legend in the bull semen market:

I used to travel around farms inseminating cows. Artificially of course. Used to do 55000m per year and inseminate about 4500 to 5000 per year.

One of my colleagues got caught the morning after the night before and lost his licence for drink driving.

Early 90's so not the issue it is today.

Anyway he was lucky to keep his job for the year with no licence but he was transferred to the AI Centre at Scone Perth. Where he basically whanked off bulls for a year. One ejaculation could be divided up into 4000 straws at anything from £5 to £150 each traded globally. depending on the individual bulls various traits. The semen was buffered(watered down) with UHT milk, albumen, and other stuff that improved freezing qualities.

goneoffSKI, i take it you deliver tatties?

For that kind of cash I'd happily become a bull-w**ker! Might head to the cattle market at the weekend to see if I can purchase a bull for the back-yard and put SWMBO to work.....

Unfortunately I saw very little of the money. Pay in the early 90's was about £12k

Hahaha.

In the meantime, best get her practising!

I put a broken-up cast iron bath in my boot once.

Usually I prefer to put things on my roof.

A police officer. In riot gear. Wasnt allowed to take a photo though. Also had 30 light units in there. With seats down. Lots of kevlar. Boot also hold two staffords which is by far the most damage I have had caused by a load. Although I have got scratches on passenger door card from some big wood.

Stop boasting

Some pipes.

The most obscure thing I've had in my boot? That would be our senior business consultant. It has become tradition that whenever anyone at work gets a new car, he gets stuffed in the boot as a measure of how big the boot is. Folded up, I can get two of him in the boot of the Spaceback. Three if I was to chop him up and stack the parts carefully.

how many if you use a liquidizer ?????

Some pipes.

is that a spare toilet seat on the left in case you need to stop for a sheet.??

Several hundred noise activated ghosts and cackling witches. They weren't all switched off! It got a little bit annoying on the motorway.

A yellow cockatiel on a perch in it's cage for a 400 mile trip.  In the mirror I could see it leaning into corners like a motorcyclist. :D

Airsoft AK47 Magazines...Not super obscure, but when you only remember you've got them in there as the guy who's cleaning your car opens the boot to vacuum it, it's a little bit of a worrying moment...

  • 3 months later...

Paving slabs and a bag of sand in my estelles when snow was about lol

Not especially obscure....

Not obscure, but the reason I'm looking at octavias is for the boot space.  My hobby is RC helicopters and planes which are 1.5m in length or more. Then I have to add all the batteries, tools, radio gear, starting equipment, fuel...
