What's the most obscure thing you've had in your boot?

Featured Replies

For me it's got to be this!

(Me) the boot was surprisingly spacious for someone who's 5"8 http://tapatalk.imageshack.c

What's the most obscure think you've had in your boot?

Most obscure thought i've had in the boot was in relation to the much publicised multiverse theory and this very morning.

Genetically modified Poplar tree cuttings of various strains imported from Italy for an experiment into their possible use as bio-fuels for Southampton University probably.

Oh, and a micro forge used for making pipettes to remove the nucleus' from embryos.

A police officer. In riot gear. Wasnt allowed to take a photo though. Also had 30 light units in there. With seats down. Lots of kevlar. Boot also hold two staffords which is by far the most damage I have had caused by a load. Although I have got scratches on passenger door card from some big wood.

Plant related like Lee's. A 3-4 foot diameter ball of mistletoe - from a lime tree like these

...and I happened to get pulled over and had to explain it to the policeman (it was going back to uni for the student's union building)

At uni in the 60's I had an A35.  In order to get about in the snow, I carried an MG TD cylinder block - worked well

Next vehicle, a ratty minivan, needed a pile of old newspapers to sit on as the seat was broken.

The minivan copped a stone through the windscreen.  I couldn't afford a new one so spent most of the winder driving around without.

There was also no heater, just the hole where it should have been.   I drove in my biker gear, with an old army blanket round my knees.  Only got stopped once.

a stripped down engine, was using it as storage when i was doing the head gasket. including turbo, intake and egr, cylinder head, and all sorts of bits.

apart from the usual tip runs, nothing that odd.

Thanks to whichever mod edited the title

Also managed to get an Octavia boot lid into the boot of my Octavia. It took a bit of dismantling inside to just make enough room, but it did fit :D

Please tell me it wasn't loose.

And next load will be about a dozen fire extinguishers  :notme:

Only odd ish thing I've ever had in my boot was cloves, took 3 boot loads and a back seat full to the tip recently when tidying the spare bedroom out.

A pick and mix sweet stand (complete with sweets).

Picked it up from the wholesalers in the lacetti I had at the time - guys at the wholesaler were sure it wouldnt fit but... with the back seats down and the passenger & drivers seats right forward on the runners.

Sheffield to Horncastle with the steering wheel in my chest was "interesting" to say the least!

I used to drive a company Astra and in the boot there were 2 large tanks of bull semen.

that were valued at easily more than the car I assume..... at least it wasnt loose. :D

Probably a motorbike into the back of my Fabia I'd guess.

Had a complete M20 engine + ancillaries in the back (and the rear seats, and the front foot well) the other week.

A micropig in a cat carry box.. Oink! Oink!

A dead calf.

and no - I'm not going to explain why.

i got a 5x3 picnic table and 6 chairs into my old cordoba after buying the set in argos. Fit the whole lot in the boxes, despite the guy from the shop being sure there was no way id do it. That or the 2, 2seater leather sofas i had to move back to the mother's in the octy.. That took 2 trips :D had a hedgehog once! Dropping him out to the woods after getting trapped in a garden. He pi55ed on me carpet... Luckily it was the cordy and i didnt give a ****e...
