A TDI 4x4 hatch appeals to me, I don't require an estate, I just wondered why this isn't offered?

Is it available on the continent?

I don't think they have offered the 4x4 hatch since the MkI, I had one of those with the 1.8T150 lump and it was a vRS beater in the wet which probably explains why they not offered one since!

True! Just seems strange to me that it's only offered in an estate, I wonder if the Mk7 Golf will be offered with 4motion TDI hatch...

The estates are quite compact...for an estate and drive like a hatch, don't rule one out.

A hatch is not available here, and it couldn't even be, given the maturity and "awareness" of Skoda Italia...

I could probably live with an estate but the other half isn't so keen, they offer the Superb in 4x4 hatch & estate but seems strange that isn't the case with the Octy, I wonder what the thinking behind that was?
