McRae on Rally GB in Fabia !

Featured Replies

Colin McRae currently 9th overall after SS3 on Rally GB, set a top 6 stage time on SS3 too, hope he can keep it up !

Looking good if he keeps it on the road  Scary how much quicker he is than Schwarz though

that's the problem for McRae... he goes full out.... which normally means falling off the track somewhere!! Be interesting to see how long he lasts....

The fabia will break soon

The fabia will break soon

Hopefully that will work in the same way as "break a leg" .... don't want to tempt fate this early do we Andy :D(although I tend to agree with you :( )

You have to be brave to win though.

Good lad McCrae.Thrash the bananas out of it

He's dropped to 12th now and I'm a tenner down.

c'mon McCrae you can do it!

Watched him in the lake district on a private testing, the guy can sure fly!

Down to 14th now - lost over 25 seconds on SS4.

15th now!

Chris

5hit or bust then!

Looks like the day finished in 13th place. First day not bad at all!

how did he lose 25 seconds?

Probably crashed knowing him!

They don't call him Colin McCrash for nothing :D

how did he lose 25 seconds?

He stalled at the start of SS5. If he'd had a tdi engine he wouldnt have stalled as easy! hehe

And tomorrow he starts 3rd on the raod so will get the advantage of fresher stages. Just hope the 2 cars infront of him do a good jon in scrubbing the road a little.

Has he actually signed up for Skoda, or is he just having a bit of a drive? I am a fan really :o

Heres a few pics I took tonight, hope to get some more on stage tommorow

Good to see some of the car on ITV. Maybe it's the UK rally that has changed the fact that they now talk about the rest of the field and not just the top 4 or 5, albeit at the expense of the junior stuff.

Think how you are when you've not driven for 2 weeks, let alone 2 years at this level.

Although getting it to the end and in the points might have greater meaning next year imho ;)

Great picss...now if only we could get a sticker on it :)

Oh the joys of a smart phone.

I'm down in Epynt and it's cold.

Aparently McRae hasn't got the suspension dialled in yet and started off with a wrong diff setting.

Hope it warms up for you seeing as you've less hair now...:D

See Meeke has just taken 10th position off Colin, whos now 11th I wonder if he'll give him a thick ear for that one

Colin just took the the place back from Meeke on SS12

They should be team mates at Skoda next year IMO hehe

McRae looks slow compared to Loeb, Solberg etc.

Figging freezing

You're doing a fine job mate, keep it up...

Colin does take one of Skoda's best results ever on the Rally GB but sadly under tragic circumstances :-(

With the fatel crash of Markko Martin/Michael Park and Marcus Gronholm withdrawing from the event it moved Colin Macrae upto 7th overall.

And Leob took a time penalty to allow Solberg to take the victory and ensuring Leob would not be made World Champion on this tragic event.
