Featured Replies

Picked up my new VRs on the 3 rd September, so far had both neighbours out looking at it. The woman next door loved it and especially the seats  , another woman in a crappy old ford ka, lent out of her window while I was filling up and said nice car :). Then yesterday a woman who I get the train to work with said is that yours car the black one, yeah I said.

She said it beautiful, I had a good look around it in the car park it lovely and the seats, I thought she was going to have a orgasm talking about it :P

Anyone else get this ?? silly question probably I know

Whereabouts do you live to get that reaction?!?!

Chris

I got that reaction too, was very nice

Yeh, I've had:

Friend's mother got in to my Black Octy vRS, "so you can afford a BMW now".

A Uni student girl in the street, "That's a sweet motor",

And some Yoofs said, "That's one of them bad boy cars the police drive, dey Wicked!!"

;)

I get quite a few comments - usually from 20-ish year-old lads, along the lines of "nice car mate"

Cant say I've ever got any comments from the girls like that.

Most of my neighbours think my fabia is very smart and very expensive ;). A few have added it's alot better than any of the other cars I've had.

Usual young lads comments like nice car, oh that's one of them skoda's.

i once had an old bloke say thats a nice car he was in his late 60's :(

Universally positive comments for mine too! But there is this guy at work who ribbed me mercilessly when i told him i was getting a Skoda, now he knows how good it is he won't even come for a ride! Berk!

When I had my vRS, I felt like a fanny magnet.

Strangely, I dont seem to get the same reaction in my rusty old Golf...

May not be a vRS but im always having people looking at my car in car parks saying nice motor etc.

It attracts the girls... then they go home and their bloody father's fill their heads with load of cr@p about skodas  !!!

First weekend I had my Fabia vRS I was parked up near the Bull Ring in Birmingham and a VW Passat full of bad boys stopped and signaled me to put my window down so I did and they started asking me loads of questions about the car.

I've also been to Luton Airport quite a bit in the last fortnight to pick people up and have noticed if I'm there at night people come and have a look when they think I'm not in the car and then I open the window and they look really embarassed and walk away

Have had the usual on road encounters with ***** in Corsas tryign it on, ususally involves them with their foot flat on the accelerator and exhaust pumping out lots of noise, and then me gently apply a little pressure on the accelerator and pumping lots of black smoke like a 007 smoke screen and then leaving the **** way behind.

Another thing I find really fun is when you are being tailgated by somebody in a convertible that wont back off is to put your foot down to clear some distance once again pumping out a bit of soot  ......... they soon get the idea.

I just get laughed at when i say i've got a Skoda, i guess oop north here they've still got a bad rep

My old man said when he first saw it " quick get it in the garage before anyone sees it" :)

This bloke with a BMW wound down his window and shook his fist full of dice at me as I passed him.....at least I think he had some dice.

Ive had literally -some- people say nice car :P But I think most, well alot of people at work with Corsas, Saxos etc just kept quiet and said 'its alright I suppose' Their faces soon changed when I took them for a spin.......

An older man asked me about it at a petrol station, so I told him not to bother buying one and that they're rubbish cars ;)

I had this bloke who sort of fell in front of my car, his mate had hurt his leg, who looked like he'd rolled down a mountain and said......"Nice car mate" (Sorry wrong Make.............Thought I had Astra :D )

also had mine mistaken for a BMW once. Last week an octavia-driving taxi driver told me at the petrol station that i had a beautiful car...he may have been a tad bias tho as 99% of taxi's in Middlesbrough are octavias!! they are everywhere! my mates (still) find it amusing to shout "taxi" at me now when i pull up

Well I'm a student and when I go out in brum I always drive so when I offer to take people home they get to the car park and say where's yours, looking at every other car apart from the one we're walking towards. I unlock it give them a little flash and they first ask whats that? Then I say Skoda they think bad things. When I drop them off they say that's one nice car, you must be rich. I laugh and say thanks. I always tell people don't judge it till you've been in it.

I unlock it give them a little flash and they first ask whats that? .

Mine was mistaken for a BMW this morning and I was honestly offended. It was my gardener, he's not seen it before as he usually calls during the week when it's in the garage and the Ibiza is on the drive. Wish it was in the garage, as it's now covered in leaves and grass. :(

It must be a hard life, having a gardener, Eddy. ;)

When its lunchtime at work, my mate usually says "Are we going to Asda in the Czech Flying Machine".

Also, my boss had to go to Dubai last week to sign a contract, and when he got to Ringway, he realised he had forgotton a couple of files that he needed. Guess who got the call for a mercy dash to the airport!

And yes - I made it in time.

It must be a hard life, having a gardener, Eddy. ;)

I hate gardening and would much rather do other stuff with my spare time. He's a fast worker and only charges
