Location of DPF warning lamp?

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

Can someone help me out with a photo of the location of the DPF warning lamp on the Rapid? Strange request I know but I need to know this!

I believe it normally goes out after a second or two once the ignition is turned on (unless there is a problem)?

Thanks

Dave

It's described and shown in the manual.

Click the link in this post, then select manual, then search pdf...

Thanks for the link but I have already looked in the handbook, it is the actual location of the warning lamp in the instrument panel I need, this is not shown?

eg I know the battery light is shown to the left of the needle on the rev counter where as the handbrake lamp is above the needle on the speedo. These lamps are easy to find as they stay on with the ignition turned on. I need the DPF lamp and if possible the glow plug lamps which come very quickly and are never shown in photos!

*sigh*

This is from the new Octavia, same placement as the Rapid, no difference.

Thanks for that Stormchaser that's what I was after are you sure it's exactly the same spot on the gauge on the Rapid? I know it's a strange request but I need to get it right!

Strange question but why?

Someone called Cown sent you that picture. Not me. I'm almost sure they are in the same place too. Have a look when the sun is shining on the dials as sometimes you can see them [emoji106]

Oops! Apologies that's what happens when you look on your phone, thank you Cown!

I do not have a Rapid, we have a Citigo but I needed to give the information on the Rapid to someone and I thought this was the place to ask.

Dave

I'm sure its in the same place, as its in the same place on a Fabia.

If you shine a torch at the rev counter you can sometimes make out the shapes of the various lamps.

Correct, this is the best way of determining the exact location, if of course you have access to a diesel Rapid!

That's the problem I don't

In the good old days the location of each lamp was shown in the handbook!

Owners manuals are useless now. Not worth reading.

But oh my god, how can this turn into even further discussions. The lamp is where i pointed it out. Jesus christ! :-)

Jesus Christ, no I think it was Dave that was looking for the answer :bandit:
