anyone heavily modded a cr octy?

Featured Replies

Just curious really. More and more 250bhp+ fabias cropping up and it made me wonder why people are not willing to through money at an octy in the same way?

Just my personal opinion, I wouldn't as I'd hate that sort of power in a front wheel drive car...

Alot of people have done it though on fabias so must be too bad

CR is more expensive than a PD to tune but a remap and DPF delete will see you to 210, Darkside do a turbo kit which will see one up to 340bhp but that kit is about £3k iirc

Already have remap and kept the dpf. Had it rollin roadedat 212bhp. Thought binning the dpf would nudge you close to 220bhp?

Not that much more to gain without DPF removal, which = Instant MOT failure.

Depends as rolling roads can be inaccurate I was just giving a rough figure

With the DPF I've been put off giving it a go. I remapped my fabia but I'm not so sure about the CR.

CR engines are only good for 240bhp at the min. There isnt enough fuel pressure for higher.

A darkside 2260 kit will be capable of more but if you cant get the fuel your not gonna get the power.

Not if you take the insides out and keep the housing for the DPF

Just buy a petrol. What the f is the point of blowing a million quid in a derv to make it more uneconomical as a petrol . just don't get it.
