Optimistic MPG Readings

Featured Replies

Yeh its not too bad. TBH my 86bhp 1.2 tsi does soooo amazingly i dont look at the figures at all anymore. I just know if I put £60 of supermarket unleaded in it will do 620 miles before I have to fill up again :-). That is what i call economical (That's me driving 50 miles a day doing 58mph on the M6).

Assume that's taking it into the 'red' :wonder:

Furthest I've gone to date before refuelling is 455 miles and that used up 43 ltrs, which from memory was getting close to the red zone. Thought at the time the reserve appeared to be around 10 ltrs or so, which is the same as a previous Yeti.

Fuel warning chimes with 65 / 70 left on the range counter, 50 miles later I squeeze in 51 / 52 lts so your 10ltrs estimate is bang on.

yeh when i absolutely brim it it shows a range of 700+miles and then realistically once im showing range of 10-20 miles i've done over 600. costs £60 to fill it. This morning because its half term it was showing my average mpg at 68.9 so I must be doing something right :-)
