New brochure - front assist and ACC

Featured Replies

As per a post elsewhere the new October 2014 brochure can now be downloaded. Not much new but (as speculated) front assist is standard on elegance now and ACC is optional across a lot more of the range (SE, elegance, scout and VRS). So is it worth me tweaking my elegance 1.4tsi dsg order to add ACC?

  • That's not the car, it's the idiot inside doing that. Clearly, watching the road and traffic ahead, anticipating, and then doing a little flick of a finger or press of a button is far too much for the

Had an email exchange with my dealer and he is quietly optimistic but will need to talk to admin on Monday. If I can get ACC I may go for it (I've changed my mind a couple of times today already!). As

  • +1 for ACC Yes, occasionally a car will fill the gap causing you to slow down, but in the past my solution for making sure nobody filled the gap was driving too close to the car in front of me... If

I have ACC on my VRS and do a lot of motorway miles, wouldn't be without ACC now.

Is ACC available immediately? I might have to change my order....

Lane Assist is back as an option as well.

This is massively annoying. I only ordered mine last month, with ACC, only to be told it wasn't available.....

Mildly annoyed at this as I really wanted ACC but was assured when I ordered early this year that it wouldn't be coming back due to problems... then it came on the L&K and now front assist is standard on Elegance and ACC is an option! PAH!

Do all manufacturers change specs this often?? I'll bet i'll order one and footwell lights will be standard! Better download the new brochure too

Didn't spot that one - but I was looking at the PDF on a little phone screen! Will have a proper look soon.

Bummer! Would have liked XDS on my Black Edition. You get the feeling with Skoda that if you wait 3 years you will get all the options as standard!

Sorry to ask, but where can I download the latest brochure?

Why do you think they do special edition models just before MY changes?

I thought it had always been a safety vest holder - or are you saying the passenger seat gets a safety vest holder as well?

OK OK I fell for it Andy. Just PM'd you with an obvious VCDS question...

Is Energy Recovery a new addition?

Yes AndyVee, you're right on the passenger side. Although it doesn't list the passenger under seat storage anymore.

Is Energy Recovery a new addition?

Has always been there even in the October 2013 brochure.

Also saw that they've removed the Petrol Blue Metallic option

and the Steel Grey Metallic for vRS

Looks like the base price has come down a bit too. Just went through the configurator to see if that has been updated (it's not) and the same spec elegance as my order appears to be £300 less RRP than 13/9 - all the extras are the same price.

Of course it could have happened weeks ago and I've only just noticed!

I've just emailed my lease company re adding ACC (yes, I know it's 23:30, but it couldn't wait!)..... See what they say tomorrow.

Would be a MASSIVE bonus if (a) it's true and (B) I can get it added. Fingers crossed!

is this new?

Don't think so

Same here my brochure said ACC was standard and steeler didn't say otherwise. When my car turned up there was no ACC. I queried but was told that supply problems with ACC ment not possible and they pointed to small print. I was also told that even when it did come back VW and Audi would get the stock. I don't miss what I have never had but urinated off all the same.
