Big Choppers

Featured Replies

Went to Meadow Hell yestrday and spotted these bad boys. I love the series on Discovery and recognised the Stealth Bomber themed bike. They're stunning in real life, so much work and detail has gone into them. They truly are works of art.

Some excellent engineering in there , but I prefer my bikes to go round corners :D

They can go round corners though, (when they're in the back of the 18 wheel transporter truck)

Thought it looked like an OCC contender there until I noticed the 3 bits of plastic conduit painted silver and cable tied together below the bike!

I loved watching those guys whilst I was in the US for 3 months last year - awesome. Haven't got Sky so not seen them much since, but they make some excellent bikes at OCC. I'd agree with JohnnyC though - dont think the OCC guys would stand for cable-tied plastic bits  - Sr & Jr would probably destroy it, I have a feeling ;)

Yeah they would pull it apart using a couple of hummers!

Those are supposed to be machine gun barrels. I watched the programme where they made that bike just the other day. the three tubes are aluminium and the black parts are metal spacers keeping the 'barrels' apart. They were genuine OCC bikes, i know the pics don't really do them justice but it was an event organised by the Discovery Channel to promote the new series of American Chopper. there was an info board about how the bikes had been shipped over and about 15 security guys hovvering about.

I know they are aluminium but I still think it looks poo. Sr can handle a bit of constructive criticism i'm sure.

Don't suppose they drove them on UK roads though. All thoses American bikes are LHD.

I nominate you to go and tell him. I'll be mostly looking the other way and whistling loudly.

You must be joking mate. I'd have to say something OCC style like 'That's one sick bike man'

He would take that as a compliment......
