Dramatic find in Yeti history

Featured Replies

Bryan,

Haven't you learnt to read yet?

It says Mini Cooper, has a Mini badge on the bonnet and Mini Cooper badges on the rear wings!!

And it looks nothing like any Yeti ever produced!!

I see in all these years you've never gained a sense of humour, Graham

Such a shame you see everything so black and white, or a mix of the two

Is that how you got the name Gra(y)ham?

:(

I think Bryan's trying to gain entry to the Yeti section by beating all forms of resistance out of them.

Then all of a sudden it'll be, "Look what I've just bought."

I am afraid Graham is correct as you can see here

To be fair, it doesn't look that much like a mini either.

I think the Mini took the blueprint and rounded off all the rough edges

Errrrrrrr, It's Green     :notme:

I'm afraid to say this time Brimma's opening comment is right, the Mini was the blueprint for the Yeti and all modern front wheel drive transverse engine vehicles.... ;)

Archivists recently discovered the original blueprints for the pre-facelift Yeti  14361779993_ee5282230c_z.jpg

HeHeHe.

Been lurking in the Lego topic the Brim?

Guess what's sitting on my dining room table, waiting to be built :)

Is it a Quiz, Clive     :notme:

Well done Andy.

Now what's the answer? :P

Either Grahams signalbox or a Yeti

Drink 1/2 bottle os scotch, screw your eyes up tightly, and jiggle the box as you're looking at it.......................and it WILL look like a Yeti :D

Have you ever looked at the Citroen 2CV and noticed how much of the 'original' thhinking in the Mini derived from there?

Nope. Should I have?

Looks like I've joined the right forum for some friendly banter.

I thought this thread was going to be about Yeti: a Love Story

Apparently a sequel is due next year.

CFB yes, front engine, front wheel drive and the suspension system is almost exactly what Issigonis designed!

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

True, and the 2CV has the suspension of a boat. :D

CFB. But, it fulfilled the design criteria, to carry a farmer, sack of potatoes and basket of eggs across a field. I haven't done it literally, but itwould be possible!

You forgot Madame wearing her hat!

Pardon!! Madame!!

Looks like I've joined the right forum for some friendly banter.

Just don't try to compare a Yeti to anything ever. Anything. They will eat you alive using forks made from the bones of your firstborn.
