They are very loud. I've tried turning the volume down in the Sound set up but it makes no difference at all.

In my Bolero, you can set the TP announcements to a different level (to that of the current output) - perhaps you need to go into the menus and change the TP volume.

I've tried setting the level in the sound menu but it doesn't make any difference and turning TP off and on but to no avail. Looks like I will have to wait till it goes in for a service.

What radio do you have? Bolero, Amundsen or Columbus?

Bolero. And despite following the manual and adjusting the 'Announcements' volume they always come in VERY loud- enough to alarm me on the motorway. I'd rather not fiddle with the volume on the move. Why cant I preset their volume? I could on my MkII Octavia.

What's the relevance of that? Yes you can turn it down, but it comes back as loud for the next announcement! I don't want the TP announcement startlingly louder than the existing audio sounds.

This annoys me. I listen to several podcasts which are quite quiet and the TP announcements match the volume of whatever I'm listening too. You turn it down and it jumps back up for the next one. On my old mkII once you turned it down it stayed down.
