Is % finance returning on the VRS?...

Featured Replies

Considering an order for March...any truth in % returning in a december??

%? 0%, 3%, 10%????

Interest rates are generally predicted to be about to start rising...  Skoda hasn't been able to keep up with demand particularly with the VRS. Can't see why they would want to lose profit and revert to 0%?

I would say very unlikely.

The success of the new Octy has been greater than VAG imagined and people are buying them regardless, why cut your profits?

Truth is that nobody will know until the deals are released, even the dealers don't get an idea until the day the deals become effective.

If you wait until December to order, I'd wager that the odds on getting your new vehicle on March 1st would be about as low as you getting a 0% finance deal.

Mence,

Have you cancelled your plan for changing your's for a newer model , prefered colour and spec..

They usually get about a months notice of rates, prices etc going up. But never down.

Yes I have mate, I went to see my dealer and have a chat about it and regardless of which we way we played with the numbers, it didn't really do it for me. The spec I really want comes in at a cheeky £31.5k, combined with a nothing out of the ordinary PCP % and a far from attractive residual value on mine after year one made me decide to stick with what I have.

No big deal really, i'm calm.

I have a good vRS which I enjoy very much coupled with free servicing and 0% PCP so it's hardly the end of the world.

BISMARK STAYS...

£31.5k is BMW/Merc territory!

Glad I entered the clamour for the 0% deal last year. Thought at the time that I was falling for the hard sell after a way through a long long wait.' Hurry now, save pounds. Open bank holiday Monday' I was there in the queue... About half way down.

Not with Mence's list of options they're ain't.

These cars are ok but seriously, £31.5k? I'd never part with that much for one, they're just not worth it. Buyers could do so much better for that kind of outlay.

Can't see it happening myself, given demand for the model, but if they do I hope it is before I get mine delivered so I can renegotiate my finance deal (Will wait until the last possible moment to sign it now I think)

I would say not.

My guess is that any promotional money will be going on the Fabia 3 at the moment. They know they can sell as many VRs as they can make at present.

My spec came to £35k with the extra 2 years warranty.

Yes this is Audi/BMW/Mercedes territory but you do not get the same spec.

But I do however agree with the point £31+k is in the big boy's league and sadly Skoda does not have the designer clothes to match! I like Skoda, but unless a cracking deal can be had I'll run my FL MK2 into the ground.
