Not long to go now at all. Seems like an age ago that we decided to do this!

I asked you all to put it back for better weather.

Looks like the snow might just be nearly over in Scotland but there has not really been major problems this winter.

Lets hope Summer is in full swing in just over 2 weeks time.

I have just been packing the car,

Factor 50 for my head, after sun and cool box (packs in the Freezer)

& folding chairs.

Folding chairs?

Should I bring one?

I have 2.  £3 each from the charity shop, you are welcome to use 1.

Usually i fall through them anyway.

Folding chairs?

Should I bring one?

yes :)

.

I thought I would have to miss this due to a party I have to be at on the Saturday night.

So I also plan to come down Friday night and stay at the premier inn and then travel over.

I would have to leave on the Saturday at 14:00 but at least I will get to see some runs and meet up. Leaving Manchester at 16:00ish so hopefully there for 8 ish on Friday night.

The other question I had was for the people doing the runs.    How do you get your oil temperature up to 80c -90c for the runs.?  I am guessing you have to park up and wait..

Wont be making it to this sorry guys. Work wont give me the time off. Gutted. Enjoy the day and drive safe. I look forward to plenty of timing sheets being uploaded.

See ya next time

Rick.

Sorry you can not make it. Sittingbourne can either as I understand. Maybe catch you on Thursday night. As to 80 degree C* indicated oil. I would get it to showing 50*c with starting it up and running. And then by the time you get to doing a run the oil will be fine. If it is a roasting day, don't get it too hot queuing up.

Yeah hopefully see you Thursday George. Anybody else who is coming past Preston/Blackpool on the way down, gimme a shout and hopefully we could meet up.

Will anyone be bringing there leads etc to allow to change some settings on my car e.g tear drop wiper etc

Jason-devonutopia will have his I reckon. Along with other I imagine.

Sorry to advise that I've had to withdraw from attending this event due to ongoing family issues that mean I need to be here, hopefully I will be able to attend any future events and I wish every success to this event and a great time to all who are in attendance.

Richard

What time are you guys meeting at the premier inn car park Saturday morning ?

not sure.... after breakfast?! lol....

Can TomR88 maybe lead us on times. ?

30 minutes meeting up time before heading for Early Doors.  Gates opening sort of thing.

or somebody say a time that sounds about right,

Sunny and lovely day then early,  and if peeing down, still early, just not so much so,

So it will be sunny and warm.

From premier inn to Santa pod is approximately 15 - 20 mins.

Usually opens at 8 - 8.15 and track opens 9.30 ish.

What chance an ex Mk2 owner would be welcome?

I would say sure :) after all there are about 20 mark I vRS's coming now! lol...

Am I in time to give the Superb a run down pod? :)

its an open day Mark, so pay your £25 and run as much as you like :)

Excellent, this will be interesting, two weeks to prep her though :)

I'll get looking at hotels.

It should be a humbling experience in with the hot hatches

we are staying at the wellingboughrough travelodge... (spelled very wrong I know) we are having steak there on the friday night, and curry with the "posse" on the sat night! :)

join us!

edit: premier inn!
