How do I?

Featured Replies

Take good photos through glass? I nearly always seem to get reflections which isn't helpful. I ask as say in a zoo, some animals (like snakes) are behind glass. Any tips?

Also, on ebay people are selling 'flowers'. What do they do to help images and which images are benefitted from it? The same goes for the filters such as UV.

Any more helpful tips for me that people can pass on?

Piece of dark cardboard or paper to shade the lens and stop reflections sometimes works...............and a small piece of cloth to clean the glass

As a "point & shoot" person, I was advised to hold the camera against (onto) the glass. As the lens is inset, it's not a perfect solution, but what the hey.

Yep it's Mo

Keep as perpendicular to the glass as you can

Don't use flash

Shading the lens from any angled light sources is also a good idea as mentioned by Rob

Ok, I'l give it a go tomorrow.

Don't use flash

If your photographing snakes and the like the flash should be off anyhow.

Don't you use a polarising filter or something to cut down on reflections?

at an angle away from the light so there is no replections

:)

or use one of them rubber shade ring thingies that screw on the end of the lens....they are flexable so you can angle the camera against the glass
