Service your VRS for less than £30!

Featured Replies

Think it should say 'change your oil for less than £30'. That's not really a service.

However for a service you can buy a OEM set off eBay including oil filter, air filter, pollen filter and fuel filter for £20-£25 then just £21 for the oil.

So yeah full service for £40

I do the above however I use Shell Helix Ultra extra which is £35.

  • ŠKODA stamp in service book

£139

A pollen filter is £9 and they only replace it every 2 years

I don't need some gorilla mechanic 'raping' my car on a test drive to tell me that it's running ok  :peek:

To be fair to my local dealer, I've had great service and the prices have been 'reasonable'

I might actually pay them £50 for less than 30 minutes work to get a stamp in the service book....

As with any dealer servicing, you're paying for the stamp mainly.

That oil is not certified to VAG 504/507 spec. It's merely someone's opinion that if tested it would meet the requirements, and they've carefully (wrongly) used the word "quantum" in the listing title to imply it's suitability.

Better to use a genuine certified oil which has been tested to comply with the required standard rather than some oil which might be good enough (or not).
