  • Whether its a city car or not is irrelevant. If a car cant climb hills, its effectively unfit for purpose.

Even Stig I couldn't get it to move. What a PR disaster.

If Stiggy drove it as recommended by the manufacturer to achieve most economical results,  or as gear change guide on the dash says ( if it has 1)  then am not surprised, even he could not get it up a hill.

 

If i drove my Yeti (petrol) as per guides, even that would stall on the hills round where i live. I tried this when no one was around on one of our steeper hills & it was too risky, the car wanted me in 6th on a steep hill with 30mph limit, it was so close to stall I am afraid i chickened out & had to drop to 2nd gear to continue journey.

I think you have to get the thing to move before you can start taking note of the suggested gear thingy haha
