Thinking of buying a Octavia 2.0 tdi.

Featured Replies

I'm looking at an Octavia 2.0 tdi PD Elegance DSG Auto its a 2008 with and has done 65K miles and I,m hoping to find out if there are any pitfalls I should be looking out for. It will be replacing a BMW 320.

You will find on this and other Forums that the pumpe duse engines are VERY particular on the correct oil so check the paperwork to ensure services have been done on time and with PD oil.

Being a Skoda enthusiast ( our five are in the tiny avatar photo on the left), I applaude you replacing a BMW with a Skoda. You will get a quality car, over 50 mpg and severely reduced running costs. Would be interested to hear how you get on, accompanied my eldest son to buy an Octy PD 1.9 in July - he loves it.

Mind you, Octy DID replace his 149,000 mile '56 Fabia.........
