Paintless dent removal

Featured Replies

Has anyone used any paintless dent removal companies?

I've got a small ding on the sports line of back door and I

need to get it fixed asap, have been advised it'll cost around 60-80 quid

but will work a treat, any advice?

Cheers

I had one of these guys have a go at a ding in my tailgate. He made an improvement by easing the dent out from behind, but couldn't get the dent right out because there was a box section behind it. What he did do looked fine, though.

Ultimate success will depend on whether/how much the metal has stretched.

Used a guy recommended to me by my local VW dealer when I had my Polo, he came to my work and got three dents out in about an hour and they were completely gone. He charged per panel so would do several dents for the same price provided they were on the same panel. I ended up paying

I've got a number of a local firm who will come out to the office, the ding has been annoying me for ages and everyone always commnets on it (even though its small)

Hi Gaff, Based in Scotland but family originally from Longford, hence the title.

Des,

If you're struggling there is Auto Cosmique in Grangemouth (they've also got a place in Glasgow) and Paint Wizard in Stirling.

Cheers Mate,

It's worthwhile getting a few quotes before getting the work done, reckon it'll be money well spent, as long as i can avoid asda at busy times !!! :)

Arrrrgggghhh

checked with the guy and he reckons that the door will need re-painted as the dent is 'above the handle' and right on the sportline, mentioned something about the Ocatvia dorr being split into 'boxes' and that the top is unrepairable using PDR techniques.

does this sound right to you? Obviously dent removal and a re-paint will be nearer

Not sure on the Octavia but he is probably right if he's refusing to do it.

Had two small dings on the roof of a Rover 75, dings were right inbetween the crossmember. Cost me

ive got a nasty door dent and been told its inaccesable from behind , having said that a normal fill and paint job will be

Last month i managed to dent the bonnet of my mums new mini, just to the right of the badge, and for those who know the shape of the bonnet, its curved downwards and sideways. By all accounts its a nasty dent about 3inchs across.

Back on subject, a guy from the pub who runs http://www.dingsanddents.co.uk/ came around. Took about 30mins, looks as good as new, absolutly no trace of the dent whatsoever. Cost me the price of a couple of pints of London Pride.

Cannot recommend this guy enough, He's called Carl and works from the Bristol area.
