My mil light and epc came on, checked brake lights as sticky they were ok, then first the epc went off and then the mil light.

I decided to scan fault codes with vcds, first problem was vcds did not recognise can bus using auto detect so I set manually to Skoda Fabia 2 and it connected,surely it should have auto detected?

Fault code showed:

NOTICED voltage low at 11.32v  car running fine all lights out now. Any ideas?

Fabia MK2 does not use full canbus, so autodetect will not work. Most of the Fabia MK2 ECUs still use traditional K line diagnostics.

 

Try and clear the faults, take the car for a short drive and see what returns.

 

One fault can cause multiple errors to be logged.

P.S I know an old weak battery can trigger steering sensor warning light (which has previously done) yet despite being 7yrs old it cranks the engine over fast and starting has never been a problem altough lights do dim on tick over.

Yes, i agree. You have to clear all errors and try to find out which one appears first.
