  • What amazed me was. After he did a massively dangerous undertake/overtake... He did exactly the same thing again, but in reverse! Mental!

  • Absolutely - Really should be pulling out to extend the view before actually committing to the manouvere.  Proper driving.

  • Agreed. I do it a lot myself (: Especially in the HTP. That gives me roughly 3 hours to build up speed and assess the situation ahead before i commit haha.

What a mentalist!

absolute nutter. I hope he'll lose his licence for that one.

Wow.... that was dangerous and moronic at best.

What a c**ksocket.

Wow!

I think I'm not alone in this, but I've taken a risk or two but I wouldn't even dream of doing something like this!

Whilst on a 2 lane road in Malaysia I saw a lorry being overtaken by a motorbike (with 3 people on it)

which was being overtaken by a car which was being overtaken by another car all at the same time.

4 way overtake which took up the entire width of the road and part of each sides 'shoulder' too.

The bloke coming the other way was flashing his lights like a techno rave,

Fortunately the driver of our private limo had the good sense to only attempt overtakes when it was

safe. But the rest of the road users out there are nucking futs.

Nobend.  That is all.  Not the greatest place for either of you to be overtaking though - past a junction?

When you say 'you', who do you mean?

George got this footage off the BBC by the looks of it. He isnt driving (:

No i was not driving or even there.

re 'Junctions',

Its going to be pretty hard to find an overtake on a straight in Scotland where there is no sideroad coming off it.

No Motorways north of Perth.

As much as I agree that was a stupid manoeuvre to do, did the camera car really need to pull out that early to overtake the lorry?

Didn't realise poster wasn't driving - sorry.  Point still holds true though.  I can think of several places on that very road where overtakes are on without compromising on safety.  The guy is still a fu*kwit though!

Really, between Aberdeen & Peterhead.?

About the worst road in Scotland.

Just so he could keep an eye out on the situation ahead before he committed himself.

Some poor driving  to say the least but the guy in the camera car was really slow carrying out his over take which  aggravated the loon in the Golf.

I've seen many drivers over taken on slip roads joining motorways due to the inability to press the right hand foot pedal a bit more.

Was the guy in the camera car not in a Lorry or Van?

(i know the BBC article says a Car overtaking a Truck after undertaking a vehicle.)

Trust me, there are far worse.  Some decent stretches on that road and the many around it.  This is my stomping ground but sadly, there are too many like this chap, willing to take totally silly risks.

I thought that mate.

He looks like hes sat quite high up. Hes looking down on that golf quite abit

turboman,

i grew up there, and started my driving career & boy racer career in that area,

& there are virtually no straights without side roads & its unusual to get a chance to pass,

& considering the HGV traffic on the road, you pass when you can and where there are no solid lines in the middle.

I travel the route once a week.

Just so he could keep an eye out on the situation ahead before he committed himself.

Try doing anything in the Clio, you need a ten year build up to get anywhere

Lots of them get them at 17 or before up there,

and a new car when they pass their tests.

ST, STI, S, RS, GT, GTS etc.  & another when they crash the first one.
