Still considering FK's for extra height reduction. Not sure if they're skoda approve, though.

Thanks for the photo, though. Gives me food for thought.

Fairly sure they won't be!

Rear needs to go lower on that

maybe the way its parked.....

|I had a citigo when my fabia was being repaired, and sctually measured the arch gaps for comparison, exactly 20mm.

Ah I see the gap just looks a little big. Thanks

There is an H&R spring kit for the Citigo/UP which I believe is a little lower than the Eibach's.

so you can get the eibachs from skoda themselves? and there cool with that? and this lowers your citigo a bit? im down for that!! lol

Yes. Yes. Yes. Cool!

Yeah, the eibachs can be supplied and fitted by a skoda dealer, and keep your warrenty, as a skoda approved part your insurance may not care either ( ours didn't) they lower it by 20 mm , the ride is hard though!

The H&R springs someone mentioned are not approved, BUT will lower it twice as much 40mm

 the ride is hard though!

The ride is super soft as standard, so I'm sure it's only 'firm' rather than hard. I have fitted Eibach's on my lad's Ford Ka, Mrs T's Fabia vRS and am looking forward to having them fitted to my Citigo.

I'm actually kind of interested in this.
Unrelated question, but just on point of insurance not caring - of course I'll check when I'm fitting them anyway.
But does changing to the Skoda 16" wheels from the Skoda 14" wheels change insurance premium?!

When i upgraded my Octavia wheels from 15 " to 17" vRS wheels my insurance company charged me an extra £45 for the year :(

The only way to know for sure is to ask your insurance company. I expect most will charge something extra but how much? Who knows? I'm convinced insurance companies just make it up as they go.

I'm almost entirely sure insurance companies make it up as they go along.
I'm planning on getting 16" in the new year, so just wondered. Why do we have cars, spend too much money on them!  :notme:

Was this the Dealership at Westover Skoda, Wallisdown? Looking to get my Citigo MC a bit lower but not wanting to void the warranty! Thanks!

No it was Meadens Skoda in Sway.

Don't use Westover for anything. They say they don't do them or fit them.

That's really funny actually, when I went to buy my Skoda they treated me as a time waster as I wanted to test drive two models of car, I left the showroom furious and made a complaint to Head Office and I returned a week later with the sales guy's nose firmly lodged in my rectum. I got a new Citigo MC for £110 deposit £110 a month, plus upgraded wheels and about a 1,000 apologies! haha> There are only two guys I deal with in Westover, Jordan in sales and Steve in service. The others I refuse to speak too!

It's the "mechanics" you have to be wary of, I use the term "mechanics" lightly as it seems they only have one and the rest are apprentices who spend more time mucking around than working, at one time I believe they took my car for a joy ride when they didn't need to, I gave it to them to look into a problem with the car making a funny noise when the car started up and the engine was cold, they obviously spent more time driving it than looking at it because when I got it back it was covered in road salt (I cleaned it the day before giving it to them) which I don't see how that can happen unless they drove it along some of the local dual carriageways (which they shouldn't have needed to do)

Seem's we both have had mixed experiences. I was in there today looking for new springs to get the ride height lowered another 25mm to 40mm total. very reasonable price, also getting the center box removed and a sports exhaust added also. Looking at replacing the front and rear bulbs too, something a bit brighter as the stock headlights are not very bright on darkened roads at all.

Did you query springs with the Westover garage? When I asked about fitment of OEM sport springs (15mm) drop they asked a mechanic out back and weren't interested said they wouldn't be able to do it

They supply and fit the springs with an extra 25mm drop for £250 incl. Cost and fitting. I thought it was a fair price as I was looking at coil overs for around £500 plus Coil overs will void my warranty so happy with springs, plus they'll realign wheels and adjust suspension setup to my specification so was quite happy with that. Looking for new wheels also. Talk to Steve on Servicing. He knows his stuff and is a car enthusiast also.

Mm, I still won't use them, I think they've had a staff change as of recent so maybe things have improved, but unfortunately a bad experience in the past means I won't be using them again

I would definitely recommend you inquire at least, I was dubious myself but I came away extremely happy with the information and products listed. So worth a shot to ask man.

Maybe *cue sad dramatic cinema music*

But I've moved on man, times have changed and I've gone with the wind, I still pass by it everyday, sometimes I gaze into the glistening window but the past haunts me so, one day man, one day I might use Westover again
