Featured Replies

Its only a bloody hose attachment, but it did cost me

not sure but if they specify that a special order can not be returned then you entera contract and agree to this when it ordered sadly

They probably said this.... I can't remember, I'm just miffed at the waste of dosh now, on my part.

Anyone want a nice new 90 degree hose attachment? :D

I might try that. Still can't believe I didn't query the

Nope. If you have a brand new product and the receipt, you can only take it back if it is faulty.

By law no shop has to take any brand new goods with reciepts back, but most shops do.

Legally they don't have to

And there are signs up in our prts dept clearly saying that special ordered parts cannot be returned. The parts advisors also make it clear.

The only way we would take a part back is if its been ordered wrong by us or we could sel it on. But if its a random part thats going to sit on the shelf you are asking the compny to stick

They normally have it on the bottom of the invoice too.

Unless you were advised by the "parts advisor" that you'd also need this bit. ;)

I kind of thought Skoda would just send it back to the main packing place all the bits come from, until someone else wanted to make a special order for this part. :) If it has to stay on the dealer's parts shelf then I see their point...

Its not even been removed from the knotted plastic bag, so as new as it comes. C'est la vie. Maybe I'l make more than RRP on ebay with it, seems the fashion these days. :D

Sell the Knotted Plastic Bag on e-bay and Chuck the part in for free

Special ordered parts are non uk stock so come from factory i.e Czech republic.

Yep bane of my life... I'm now, no reciept, no return with a very few exceptions. Most people are honest but some people are simply trying it on and thus have ruined it for the rest, mainly those who buy stuff from e-bay then try to return it to get more money back. The reciept is the only legal way of proving that you bought it from us, so many people forget that- it's also the guarentee. I love how many people have told me that they are taking me to trading standards, in reality I can't remember any contact with them this year!
