Ordering a new Yeti

Featured Replies

Hello!

I'm about to order a new Yeti FL Outdoor, either one of these versions:

- 1.6 TDI DSG 4x2 or 2.0 TDI DSG 4x4

with a few extras:

- parking sensors front & rear + rear view camera

- cruise control

- rear passenger side air bags

- tinted windows "sunset"

- towbar

- bi-xenon headlights with auto-leveling, led day lights, etc

- "columbus" navi, bluetooth, etc

- skoda refrigerator on the rear seats

- yeti stuffed toy

so far so good... but based on my personal experience with Audi, I remember there are some option codes that are not written on the brochures or on the options list given out by the dealer. I remember that when ordering the Audi, the dealer refused their existence and said it was nonsense. But when I found several of those "hidden" codes and asked the dealer to use them with my order, he suddenly knew perfectly well about them and had used some of them with previous orders.

so my question to you guys is, are there similar "hidden" option codes for the Yeti?

PS:

as I remember from the Audi, some of those codes are not actual parts for the car, but special setups/configurations that you could have pre-defined. Like when someone didn't want the doors to lock when the car starts to move, etc.

Thank you!

Hello

You should not have a problem ordering spec you have quoted above, the fridge & stuffed toy, you will have to buy separately as these are not on the options list online.

To answer your ' hidden codes' question = YES, these are functions that can be activated by VCDS, and will not necessarily be known by salesmen, who are really only there to sell cars.

Once you have ordered the car, provided you know what you want activating Skoda dealers are usually very happy to facilitate specially if it cannot be activated by a full version of VCDS owned by a Brisky member.

An example of one of these = Cornering Fogs

A quick search & you will probabaly find more.

First of all, thank you for the quick reply.

Is there a specific page/thread which lists all those special codes? (*edit* just to clarify, I'll ask the dealer to place them in my order)

I've already spent a considerable amount of time searching the forum, it is quite an impressive place to find information and I'm already reading 10+ tabs on my browser! I'm glad I found you guys :)

The 'Columbus' satnav is no longer available. It has been replaced with a newer unit now. The new one does not have a hard drive which can only be a good thing since they do fail especially in temperature extremes. The new one is featured in the latest Yeti brochure and has 2 x SD card slots. One of which is for the maps. Just waiting delivery on my L&K in Jan... :-)

I've got the Yeti brochure for 2015 on my hands, which has talks about the Amundsen+ and the Columbus, and the options list that I've got also has it as an option. What is the new unit called? Or is it just the same name but they now give an updated version?

The latest brochure I can see on the Skoda website is November 2014. On page 10 it lists "The latest generation of Amundsen satellite navigation system with DAB is standard on Laurin & Klement". The August 2014 version talks about 'Columbus', but I see no mention of it in November's. Where did you get a 2015 version as I can't find one?

I've got it in my hands, its a printed brochure, similar to the ones offered online. It was given to me by the dealer.

He also printed two A4 pages with the optional extras, the Amundsen+ and the Columbus are listed as options. The sales person mentioned that the Columbus was an expensive option, he never said it was not available to order with my car.

There are option codes that can be added but aren't listed. My car was available with privacy glass b-pillar back and there are some that have this but it isn't in the brochure.
