columbus satnav

Featured Replies

Hi has anyone fitted a columbus satnav to a rapid and all the functions work like mfsw reverse park sensors phone

I am thinking of getting one

Need VCDS to make it all work apparently.

Yep - do a search there is a whole thread with pics (fairly recent too) on a member retrofitting a Columbus to a Rapid.

Pretty straight plug & play with a bit of tweaking with vcds.

You'll need a GPS receiver from eBay for about £10 and tuck it in behind the HU. You then tell the car it has Nav and away ya go [emoji4]

Similar to the Amunsden that was put in mine [emoji106]

Does anyone know what "L"/ "K" version is

I did this DIY, it's not hard.

You need a replacement fascia/trim. If you take the swing one off you'll understand ;)

Everything pretty much just worked. The only thing that appeared to be a hassle and I didn't bother with was re-wiring the microphone (already connected to existing BT module) to the new headunit for voice commands. Figured I'd never use them and haven't missed it.

Works well with MFSW and parking sensors, the sat nav on the maxidot is good too. See: https://www.flickr.com/photos/lotus-gt/8434595499/in/photostream/

Mine was an 'L' version. It's just newer hardware.

isn't L & K  Skoda speak for Super Deluxe?

so an L&K version would have been removed from a particularly posh Skoda?

I think its software versions inside the Columbus.
